An appealing vintage boxing display piece produced in Great Britain by W.A. & A.C. Churchman Cigarettes, producer of the "Boxing Personalities" issue, a 50-card boxing set released in 1938 that is arguably one of the most popular pre-war boxing sets on record. The vintage wood frame measures 12-1/2" by 25" and houses a brown mat printed with black text reading "Churchman's Cigarette Cards" at the top and "WA & AC Churchman" at the bottom. Between this text, 25 presentable specimens from the Boxing Personalities set are neatly affixed to the brown mat in rows of five. On average, cards present at the EX level and include, among others, Max Baer, James Braddock, Jack Dempsey, and Jack Johnson. A prominent display piece for "The Sweet Science" enthusiast in all of us.
