Featured is a stunning 7 1/2" by 9 1/2" original Type I photo of the legendary "Sultan of Swat," a larger than life rendition that portrays the Babe having just finished one of his powerful swings, eyes gazing skyward as if following the path of yet another massive blow. This museum-quality photograph accurately picks up everything from Ruth's powerful grip of the bat to the seeming contentment of his resulting handiwork. Babe's black-ink inscription and signature are equally as impressive, delivering his customary "Sincerely - Babe Ruth," in bold "8-9" strength, magnified even more greatly by the positioning against the light-colored backdrop of his pinstriped jersey. A identifiable glint from the silver bromide processing is still evident and adds to the vintage feel of this incredible piece.
