Presented is an OAL (Harridge) ball featuring the all-together and alluring script of the one name synonymous with Baseball, Babe Ruth! The ever so lightly creamed sphere was addressed by the famed slugger directly on the sweet spot with a dark non-skipping salutation that seemingly is as perfect as any homerun he ever hit. So prodigious is the ever-lasting image of the iconic Babe Ruth, that his persona seemingly has been embellished by every generation since his death while a great many of his contemporaries have merely been forgotten. Babe Ruth was adorned by fans during his playing days and has been lifted to a pedestal unlike any other player from any other generation. American culture is and has always been big and brash to the point where many countries believe that we are cocky, but Ruth gravitated to this more than any ball player and had a confident bravado unlike any who had ever played either before him or after him. Sportswriter Bill Broeg once said “That to try to capture Babe Ruth with cold statistics is like trying to keep up with him on a night out.” The Babes gargantuan appetite, charisma and ego kept the media clamoring for every word from the great slugger.
