Lot #97:

Magazine Lot of (3) Featuring Jim Bottomley

Clips from Jim Bottomley's estate, the featured trio of items must have caught "Sunny Jim's" eye to be a part of his personal belongings upon his passing. First up is a magazine page that features the members of the World Champion 1926 Cardinals with Bottomley at the left edge of the second row. Second is an August 1928 "The Eagle Magazine" with a photo of Bottomley and an article of the Cardinals during their pennant run (Bottomley was NL MVP that year) and finally a 1927 St. Louis Athlete magazine addressed William McKechnie at Sportsman's Park with Bottomley and others on the cover.
