The 1954 Topps issue was special for many reasons. The fact they would re-use the portraits of the ’54 in many of the ’55 and ’56 issues, in addition to having 2 pictures on the front of each card was unique, and had maybe the best hitter of his day, Ted Williams, as the first and last card of the set, which had never been done before or since. This example of card #250 has the portrait and iconic image of Ted against the beautiful yellow background, free of print defects and well -centered with clean borders and nice endpoints, earning a respectable EX/MT 6 grade from PSA.
