Presented is ... well let's face it, a PSA 6 copy of probably the most popular baseball card ever produced and the single most mentioned issue that collectors, novices and "old pros" alike, hope to some day own. The offered slice of American pop-culture can seemingly mezmorize any enthusiast, as the mere ownership of a '52 Topps Mantle card in any condition vaults the status of its owner to another level of collecting. This EX/MT 6 example boasts a supremely focused image of the young Oklahoman, situated in front of an azure blue background amidst a startling layer of original gloss. The flesh tones in the young slugger's face provide realism to the image and allow the viewer to fully experience the amazing allure that this iconic issue offers. All of the corners compliment the opined EX/MT 6 assessment with expected touches evenly exhibited, while the reverse is well-imaged with deep black and red ink pigments set upon a slate gray stock. As with most '52 Topps high-numbers and specifically with the Mantle card, the centering heavily favors the bottom right corner with a moderate clockwise tilt, but it's the enticing central image that captivates the eye. An overall splendid rendition of this ultra-important pasteboard.
