In 1954, the Yankees introduced the "Moose," Bill Skowron, and he batted .340 with a .577 slugging average in his rookie season. Skowron would appear in seven World Series with the Yankees, winning four rings before being traded to the Dodgers, with whom he won a fifth ring in 1963 by beating the Yankees. Offered here is an exceptionally presentable example of Bill Skowron's 1954 Topps rookie issue that boasts a freshness and cleanliness more commonly associated with MINT specimens. Near perfectly centered with a NM/MT+ perimeter around a vibrant surface with only a few nominal traces of print.
