An absolute blazer, conservatively graded by SGC at VG/EX condition offering yet another great value that is sure to please even the most ardent collector. Typically found with caramel stains and poor picture quality, the offered card of the Hall of Fame pitcher is plagued by neither. Bender is considered by most baseball historians to be the innovator of the slider, and is credited as the first to use the pitch, then called a "nickel change", in the 1910s. Bender used his slider to pitch a no-hitter and win 212 games in his career. Near perfect centering, free from stains and bolstered by great color alignment, this card is one of the best examples I've seen. The corners are sharp and consistent with those commonly found on a NM or better card. Strongly recommended.
