Recently graded NM 7 by the overlords in Newport Beach, the offered '54 Topps example of the great Willie Mays exhibits excellent focus and registration along with a perimeter that appears strong for the grade. A very light presence of the common green print dots that manifest themselves in most examples of this card is overshadowed by the brilliant colors and luminous gloss, while the reverse is clean and free of chipping along the delicate green bottom edge. An excellent opportunity for the avid Mays collector.
