PSA's logic for using the half-point option here seems valid, as this T3 Turkey Red example of Hall of Famer Joe Tinker has clean surfaces and an impressive perimeter more befitting of an EX or better grade, yet contains some blemishes and chipping to the lower left corner that aren't prominent enough to lower the overall assessment to VG/EX. On another day, this beauty might be sitting in a PSA 5 holder, but that's for the winning bidder to evaluate. As it stands, this specimen is primed and ready to join a high-brow Turkey Red set.
