Graded EX 5 by PSA. Jennings was with the Baltimore Orioles clubs that were National League Champions in 1894, 1895 and 1896 and was hit by a pitch 51 times in the 1896 season and an amazing 287 times in his career, both of which are records. The featured cabinet is surpassed by only three copies that have been graded marginally higher. Bright yellow surrounds the famed Detroit manager pictured in his famous “Ee-Yah” gesture encouraging his team from the third base coach's box. Slightly soft and worn corners account for the grade from PSA.
