John Owen "Chief" Wilson was the first native Texan to play in the World Series, and he still holds the record for most triples in one season, rapping out 36 three-baggers in 1912. He is depicted on this awesome gold-bordered T205 card that exhibits near-perfect centering and a stellar kelly green backdrop. The delicate gold leaf has survived nearly a century with very little chipping along the borders, and two above-grade corners are balanced out by slight touches to the two left corners for an overall grade of NM 7 as determined by PSA. This is 1 of just 4 to achieve NM status with none higher on record.
