Graded NM 7 by PSA. Nicknamed the "Peerless Leader" Frank Chance played first base as well as managed the Chicago Cubs to the pennant for a five year span that included 1906-1910. Chance may be best remembered as the end note of Baseball's sad lexicon Tinker to Evers to Chance as penned by Franklin Pierce Adams in 1910. The featured card is the highest unqualified example extant when referring to PSA's population report. A card that was issued with caramel candy and was one of the lucky ones to escape the sticky fingered children of the era and remain in stunning high end NM condition. Three of the four corners command attention at a level above the noted NM assessment of the pasteboard while the upper right shows a blunting to the tip of the corner. An image that slightly favors the left edge provides a powerful impact with a canary yellow obverse acting as a background for the hard hitting HOFer. The reverse is void of disturbance and finishes the overall appeal of this tasty candy card.
