June 2010 Auction

Impressively well-centered, with a radiant surface flaunting brilliant blue, green, and red color, this Lefty Grove specimen from the 1934 Goudey set, graded SGC 92 NM/MT+8.5, represents an excellent opportunity for the advanced collector to further improve a world-class collection! Thoughtfully awarded a half-grade increase over the NM/MT determination, each of the four corners clearly stands up to the SGC 8.5 assessment with two of them approaching MINT status, while the reverse is simply astonishing, exhibiting no trace of bleed-through from the deeply saturated pigments on the front surface. Extremely close to MINT, but every bit as extraordinary in its present holder!
