From our break-up of the #1 Finest 1967 Topps PSA-graded set ever assembled, offered is a sublime MINT 9 example of one of the set's most notoriously difficult cards to find in MINT condition: Brooks Robinson's short-printed high-number. As 1 of just 17 examples in its grade with none higher from well over 700 submissions, the offered specimen boasts a tremendous central image for the issue with beautiful MINT features in every scrutable category and is unquestionably among the most appealing examples of this card we've ever encountered. In fact, if not for a few peripheral pin pricks of print on the obverse and a minuscule touch to the reverse right corner, this superior specimen would almost certainly qualify for consideration as the first GEM ever. A 15-time All-Star and 16-time Gold Glove award winner, "The Human Vacuum Cleaner" is of course considered the greatest defensive third basemen of all time, and his 1967 Topps issue may just be his most coveted card, with the offered example ranking among the very finest few in existence!
