Up for grabs is a borderline GEM MINT example of Ron Santo's 1961 Topps All-Star rookie issue. A truly dazzling image, with colors so clean and bold they look wet, is the obvious highlight to this virtually peerless MINT 9 example of Santo's celebrated rookie card. The red and yellow print impressions of the name-plate and the iconic Topps All-Star Rookie trophy at the bottom of the obverse are incredibly thoroughly saturated, so vibrant, in fact, that I'd be suspect of its authenticity were it not slabbed by PSA. But that's not all. Equally impressive as these unsurpassed print qualities are its incisive corners and edges, just about perfect at every single point save for the top right corner, which exhibits a single, stray fiber, hardly even perceptible, under magnification. The reverse is clean and, like the obverse, near perfectly centered. In short, an exceptionally high-end example, bordering on GEM MINT, and clearly boasting an extraordinary overall presentation quality.
