A centering preference for the northeast corner joins a stalwart NM+ to NM/MT perimeter around a NM/MT surface on this presentable example of Teddy's memorable 1954 Topps #1 issue to qualify for a grade of SGC 84 NM 7. Signing an exclusive contract with Topps after returning from 14 months of service in Korea, the 1954 issue famously featured the "Splendid Splinter" on both the first and last cards of the set, with the celebrated #1 card marginally outshining card #250 as the more popular of the two.
