One of the most cherished horizontal poses from the 1915 Cracker Jack issue features the notorious Chick Gandil, famed ringleader of the players involved in the 1919 Black Sox scandal. NM/MT corners join MINT edges around an unusually well-centered image that displays a perfect linearity with no tilt whatsoever. Both surfaces are predominantly free of any significant blemishes, with precise and noticeably bold registration of the central image on the obverse. 1 of just 11 examples in its advanced tier at PSA with just a single specimen graded at the next tier (8.5, not MINT 9). A sublime acquisition for the Black Sox collector or high-grade set builder.
