What first strikes the admiring enthusiast about the offered 1957 Topps Mickey Mantle is its incredibly clean and bold print registration, reproducing perfect pinstripes on Mick's uniform and even suggesting the life-like glimmer of a sparkle in his eyes. Accurate centering that subtly favors the left edge is accompanied by clean, creamy borders that extend to NM/MT edges and corners. Although undocumented, this is the first PSA 8.5 NM/MT+ example of this card on record. So I guess we can finally stop resubmitting it for a chance at MINT 9. A very rich example of this iconic card that more than makes up in image quality what it gently lacks at its bottom two corners.
