It's really not fair to say that one card defines the iconic 1966 Topps hockey set, but .... yeah, one card defines the 1966 Topps hockey set. Oh but what a card it is, the rookie debut of arguably the most talented player ever to put on a pair of skates, Bobby Orr. This extremely high grade collection has an Orr that appears NM+ to NM/MT but has been judged as short of the minimum size requirement by PSA, a common consequence from the cutting process, especially with cards from vending boxes as many of these appear to be, and not altered or trimmed in any way. Others judged to been cut undersized but look NM to NM/MT or better are #8 H. Richard, 9, 21, 27, 34, 39 Bucyk, 42, 55, 60, 73 Beliveau, 109 Howe and 111. There are 34 cards graded by PSA, with PSA 9 MINT examples of #61 Mohns and 86. PSA 8.5 - #79 Kelly. PSA 8 - #45, 72, 78, 81, 83, 102 Delvecchio, 105, 110, 114 and 126. PSA 7.5 - #37 and 54. PSA 7 - #16, 24, 41, 52 Ullman, 62 Mikita, 63 P. Esposito, 80 Horton, 87, 89, 96, 112 Hull, 122, 124 Mikita AS and 125 Hull AS. PSA 6 - #26 Gilbert and 132. PSA 5.5 - #13 Sawchuk. PSA 5 - #121 Howe As and 123.The rest of the set appears mostly NM with some NM/MT and a few pushing the limits of MINT, and includes #1 Blake NM, 2 Worsley NM, 23 Giacomin NM+ (PD), 64 Hull Scoring Leader EX, 66 Checklist VG/EX, 77 Mahovlich EX, 120 Checklist NM (MC), 127 Beliveau AS NM/MT (OC), 130 Worsley AS NM+ and 131 Mahovlich AS EX/MT.
