Issued by the St. Lawrence Starch Company over the course three decades, the Beehive Corn Syrup series totals over 1,000 known specimens and gave Canadian collectors a lifetime project to work on. To date, no single collector has claimed title to owning a complete set, which is categorized into three subsections: Group 1 (1934-43), Group 2 (1944-64), and the collection offered here from Group 3 (1964-67). Featured are 187 cards with 83 of the 117 subjects in the series with many duplicated, mostly divided evenly from EX to NM+ condition, some higher or lower, including (3) Plante, (9) Sawchuk, (4) Horton, (3) Broda, (3) Mikita, (5) P. Esposito, (3) Geoffrion in sweater, Geoffrion shooting, Worsley, Howe, Hull in Action and Hull with Beehive bottle. Each 5.5" x 8" card features a black-and-white photo within a simulated wood grain frame on thin paper stock.
