While kids were eating their cereal and carefully cutting out the cards from the back of the Post Cereal boxes, others took a different route and acquired the set of cards by mail, getting perforated uncut sheets, ten cards of players on the same team. Of the few people that sent away to acquire all of the sheets, most took the sheets apart along the perforations, detaching the cards to create their set or just keeping the stars of the time, Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Clemente and so forth, and disposing of the "common" players, some of which have turned out to be rarities because they were never offered on the cereal boxes, like #73 Estrada and 94 Stobbs. As a result, a complete set of uncut sheets is extremely uncommon and contains all of those scarce cards and rare variations that were "company issue" and available only through the mail. This is a wonderful collection that has survived in its original state for well over a half-century and is in outstanding condition!
