Hall of Famer Napoleon Lajoie was one of the greatest hitters in baseball history and tinkered with many different models of bats over the years, but always seemed to come back to the Wright & Ditson double knob. The name "Lajoie" is branded on the barrel of in capital letters on the barrel, measures approximately 33.5" long and weighs 37 ounces. The lettering on the side of the barrel, faint but visible, has the Wright and Ditson name with a patent date that appears to be 1902. A wonderful piece of American history that predates even the introduction of Ty Cobb.
