Some tobacco companies offered baseball cards as an enticement to buy their product, others were more direct in their effort to link their product to the great American pastime. There's nothing subtle about a company called Pinch Hit tobacco or the layout of this early 1900's advertising display piece, measuring a sprawling 57" x 28" in frame. Some light tears and creasing of the thin paper stock is present and should be expected considering its age but the yellow and blue pigments are still plenty bold and the image of the ballplayer taking his cuts is a perfect representation of turn of the century baseball. Better clear some space on the wall of the your sports room for this beauty!
