Fan-Taz was a carbonated beverage sold in the early 20th century, red in color and marketed to baseball fans. Ads for Fan Taz showed baseball bats and baseballs, with a slogan "A Drink of the Fans" with syrup dispensers in drug stores and ice cream parlors that were shaped like baseballs. The featured advertising piece was probably displayed in one of those places of business over a century ago, a thin metal piece that measures 19 1/2" x 6 3/4" and has holes around the perimeter so that it can be hung on a wall with small nails. Excessive wear gives the piece a sense of nostalgia, harkening back to the days of Honus Wagner and perhaps even predating Ty Cobb. A great piece for the collector of baseball-related Americana.
