Led by a powerful rookie trio of Henry Aaron, Ernie Banks, and Al Kaline, the 1954 Topps set has long been a favorite among vintage collectors. The '54 design was novel in that it featured Topps' first attempt at miniature in-action player cut-outs over color portraits before vibrant backgrounds of orange, green, red, yellow, blue, and white. Offered is a nice mid to upper-grade assemblage that needs just the Kaline and Aaron cards for completion. The Banks RC #94 is graded PSA 6, with a PSA 9 #140, PSA 8 #45 Ashburn, PSA 7 cards of #1 T. Williams, 10 J. Robinson, 13 B. Martin, 50 Berra and 130 Bauer, PSA 6 #17 Rizzuto, 20 Spahn and 98 Black, PSA 5.5 #37 Ford and PSA 5 #250 T. Williams. The rest of the collection is 10% NM, 15% EX/MT, 25% EX, 20% VG/EX and 30% lower with #30 Mathews EX/MT (ST), 70 Doby EX, 90 Mays VG+, 102 Hodges VG/EX+, 132 Lasorda RC EX and 239 Skowron VG/EX.
