Many years before there was even a World Series as we know it, baseball was alive and well in "The Big Apple" with Jake Beckley, Kid Gleason, George Davis and the New York Giants. The featured item is an amazing survivor from the 19th century, a complete game program from a contest between the Giants and the Louisville Colonels, who featured Hall of Famer Fred Clarke. The scorecards are unmarked and some of the pages are detached, including the front and back cover, but it does not appear any pages are missing. Heavily creased down the centering and quite fragile, it's one of the few remaining relics of organized baseball that predates the arrival of immortals like Wagner and Cobb.
