The image of Christy Mathewson on the T3 Turkey Red series is so incredible that we featured it on the cover of a previous auction catalog. The featured PSA 4.5 example has retained every bit of its original allure with "Big Six" standing before a highly detailed lime-green field that meets the partly cloudy sky in a confluence of red and pink hues. The image of Mathewson itself is presented with bold registration down to the shadows cast on his pants. The corners and edges are indicative of the the grade, which is far superior to most on the PSA pop report. The reverse is particularly bold and pleasantly clean with deep print that appears as fresh as it was well over a century ago. If you've yet to acquire a T3 Mathewson for your collection, this would be a good time!
