It's without a doubt one of the most desirable of all Sandy Koufax cards ever produced, and at a grade of PSA 9, it's also the one and only MINT specimen on file at PSA with none graded higher. Many a collector has tried to reach the GEM MINT level with 1962 Bell Brand cards, not just with Koufax but all of the cards in the 20 item compilation. All have failed. Over 1,300 submissions to PSA from this series have yet to yield a GEM MINT example, and only 9 have reached the level of MINT. As stated earlier, this is the only one of those nine to feature arguably the most dominant pitcher of the post-war era. Perfectly framed within the bright white border, the image of Koufax on the hill against a partly cloudy sky makes you feel like you're at the park watching Koufax warm up for the game. The corners and edges each make their case for the uncharted GEM MINT level while the reverse is clean with very clear print.
