Possessing most of the qualities of a PSA 8 example or better save for the centering bias toward the left side, the featured card provides an opportunity for the advanced collector to acquire a top-notch specimen of Hank Aaron's iconic 1954 Topps rookie card at a considerably lower price than a card just a half-grade higher demands. As is the case with Ernie Banks and Al Kaline, other highly touted prospects that made their debut in the '54 Topps series, Hank Aaron's .362 batting average with 22 homers, 125 runs batted in and 14 triples in the minors all but assured that the 20-year old slugger would be making an impact on the major-leagues, though no one would have predicted that he would one day eclipse the great Babe Ruth as baseball's all-time home run leader. The featured card offers a deep panorama of clean, glowing orange color in support of the Milwaukee outfielder, with endpoints that rival any in the NM/MT classification. The reverse is bright and clean, barely showing a speck of white anywhere along the green edged portion of the perimeter. If doling out three to four times as much to move up a mere half-grade doesn't appeal to you, you should find this beauty to be an excellent value and a fantastic opportunity!
