If you're an avid Bobby Orr collector, or a causal hobbyist who appreciates something incredibly rare and unique, this offering just might blow your mind! Along with the 1967 General Mills issue, the 1971 Bazooka card is the toughest Bobby Orr issue on record as an individual card; featured here is the original three card panel, and just to make things more interesting, the grade of SGC 88 NM/MT 8 is the only one at that level with none graded higher. Quite simply, this is the very best Bobby Orr card in existence! While Orr compares favorably to Mickey Mantle in terms of sports card popularity, his body of work as an NHL defenseman is without equal. Orr routinely outclassed forwards and centers, the guys whose job actually is to score, and led the league in assists five times while topping the 30-goal mark five times as well, all while earning honors as the NHL's top defenseman for eight consecutive seasons. Joined by fellow Hall of Famer Stan Mikita and four-time all star Ron Ellis, Orr is presented on the right side in stunning clarity with super-sharp NM/MT endpoints while all three players enjoy a deeply pigmented backdrop. Every once in a while, a beat up individual card of Orr from this ridiculously scarce series shows up at a show or in an auction to the delight of advanced collectors. But in comparison, this one stands light years ahead of anything that's been available for decades. Between PSA and SGC combined, only 6 full panels containing the Orr card have been graded and the best PSA has been able to muster was a grade of PSA 6. Here's an opportunity to own one of the single rarest pieces in the entire genre of hockey card collecting!
