Still considered by many to be the "true" Home Run King, the spectacular Henry Aaron is one of the most actively collected Hall of Famers in the hobby. Offered here is a solid example of his inaugural pasteboard appearance, the cornerstone of the '54 Topps set, graded EX/MT+ 6.5 by the overseers at PSA. The image is ablaze with bright, strong colors protected by a shimmering layer of factory gloss, and a reassuring rough cut adorns the left edge, accounting for the suspected chipping along the green reverse bottom. Corners easily fall within the standards for the given grade and borders are free of errant print marks. This is a very pleasing card that falls just short of NM status.
