Silver lifetime passes, distributed to former players at the conclusion of their playing days, have always been a highly sought memorabilia item by collectors. While there are an ample supply out there (there have been a lot of baseball players over the decades), rarely does one surface of a noted Hall of Famer like Jim Bottomley. The pass reads "The National - American Major Leagues of Professional Baseball Present This Lifetime Pass to Jim Bottomley In Appreciation of Long And Meritorious Service" with facsimile signatures of league Presidents Harridge and Frick. Some expected discoloration is apparent with age. "Lambert Bros. Jewelers. N. Y." is engraved on the reverse.
