One of the finest hitters of his day, Hall of Famer Jim Bottomley was an active fielder as well, leading the league in putouts twice while landing in the top 20 all-time in most fielding categories. The featured first baseman's mitt was used by Bottomley as a member of the Cincinnati Reds circa 1935. The Rawlings glove profession model JB (for Jim Bottomley, of course) shows evidence of extensive use with heavy game wear in the pocket as well as the reverse side. Remnants of the Rawlings label is still evident. The glove was submitted to PSA/DNA and approved as it originated from Jim Bottomley's widow, Betty. A truly wonderful and historic piece of baseball memorabilia, once belonging to a very special Hall of Famer. LOA from PSA/DNA.
