Though virtually unknown to exist in single wax wrapper packs until recent years, Mile High Card Company has been fortunate to come across a few rare 1967 Punch Out wax packs that were offered over previous auctions. As is often the case, success breeds more success, and the price realized on the initial pack that we offered was an incentive for a consignor to list another, this time with Willie Mays as the team captain. More success! Even so, the number of known unopened packs like the piece featured here can be counted on one hand and we're not aware of any of the others confirmed to have the card of one-time all-time home run leader Hank Aaron as Team Captain. For those not familiar with the '67 Punch Out test series, it was one of the many experimental issues put forth by Topps to make a product that would be more interactive for the collector. Several of the subjects that are checklisted as part of the series have never been seen and may not actually exist. The pack is sealed in rigid plastic and wrapped and stickered with the BBCE seal of approval. An incredible item and one of the finest examples known to exist!
