Originally offered for a dollar and then discounted to a mere 77 cents, the offered item is a 100-card unopened pack of 1966 Philadelphia football cards, which was tendered to youngsters with a free miniature plastic football. The pack remains in its original packaging, with a header designed to be hung on a rack, and has been secured and wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange. One of the most important vintage football releases of all time, the 1966 Philadelphia issue features rookie cards of Gale Sayers, Dick Butkus, and Bob Hayes as well as the last appearance of Jim Brown, who announced his retirement rather than report to training camp, as he was in the process of filming the movie "The Dirty Dozen." While the term "grocery" as used in our industry often times connotes a rewrap, this is most definitely a factory product. A highly unusual and exceedingly scarce item, and the first of its kind that we have handled.
