It's not often that an auction house can offer three different options for the collector looking to acquire a Babe Ruth/Lou Gehrig signed baseball, yet here we are. Though they were the most formidable tandem in baseball for 12 years, both players passed away early in life, Gehrig in 1941 and Ruth in 1948, leaving a short supply of quality examples for the collecting public. The featured ONL (Heydler) ball is one of the best we've seen, with PSA concurring by awarding an overall grade of PSA/DNA 8. As usual, "The Bambino" occupies the sweet spot with a clean and sharp penning that rates a grade of 7, while the panel containing Gehrig's signature proudly displays the autograph, graded an 8. The ball comes with full LOAs from both PSA/DNA and JSA, the latter placing the ball from approximately 1925. An incredible piece of baseball history!
