The first player selected in the 1952 NFL draft, quarterback Bill Wade carved out a 13-year career highlighted by an 11-1-2 season in 1963 that resulted in an NFL championship for the Chicago Bears. The featured game-worn jersey comes from when Wade was the signal-caller for the Los Angeles Rams (1954-1960) and displays the proper Fredericks & Co. label, Sand-Knit label, and size 44 tag on the front. The number on the front and reverse both have experienced significant puckering and great game use is evident with scattered fabric pulls and/or team repairs. A wonderful gamer from an era long gone. LOA from Mile High Card Company.
