Not since the great Barry Sanders was there a running back entering the NFL draft that showed as much promise as the University of Oklahoma's Adrian Peterson. Selected #7 overall by the Minnesota Vikings, Peterson immediately made his presence felt with 1,341 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns despite starting in only 9 games. He followed up a successful rookie campaign with a league-leading 1,760 yards in 2008, his first of three rushing titles. But "All Day" Peterson made his mark on NFL history in 2012 when he punished opposing teams to the tune of 2,097 rushing yards, second only to Eric Dickerson and one of just seven players in NFL history to top the 2,000 yard mark in a season. At 33 years old, Peterson presently ranks #12 all-time in total rushing yards, #9 in rushing touchdowns and #4 in rushing yards per game. Presented is a game used Adrian Peterson jersey from the 2011 season, and the very sight of it illustrates how violent a runner Peterson is. Worn during the October 16th game against the Chicago Bears, the 6'1" 220 lb. Peterson carried the ball just 12 times but left the field covered with various dirt and paint marks all over the front and back, along with several team repairs to the jersey. Team swatches "11-44" and "L" are stitched inside the collar and the jersey comes with a COA from the Minnesota Vikings and LOA from Mile High Card Company.
