Every Michael Jordan collector fortunate enough to land a high-quality example of his 1986 Fleer rookie card before his documentary was released has enjoyed a huge uptick in value, but those that hold the lesser-known 1984 Star card of MJ have something really special. If you don't, it's not a problem, because here's your chance! Distributed years before his 1986 Fleer card made the rounds and earned the accolades of being his mainstream rookie card, this elusive high-end issue from Star Company is the legitimate rookie card of "His Airness" and is far more limited in production than the '86 Fleer card. A deep Chicago Bulls red border surrounds the clean image of young MJ hauling in a rebound. The centering is nearly perfect, a very rare occurrence for this issue and almost unheard of at this grade level, while a bare minimum of chipping along the red perimeter makes the overall grade of PSA 7 seem conservative. The four corners appropriately alternate between NM and NM/MT while the surface is super glossy and the reverse is a clean, hot pink canvas that frames the start of the greatest basketball career of all time.
