A legacy that began as far back as his well-known college rivalry with fellow legend Magic Johnson, Indiana State and Boston Celtics forward Larry Bird made his mark as one of the NBA's all-time greatest players. Selected by the Celtics with the #6 pick of the 1978 NBA Draft, Bird would earn Rookie of the Year honors with a 21.3 scoring average and over 10 rebounds per game. Known for his ability to excel at every facet of the game, Bird averaged over 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists per game over 13 seasons. Even with his career shortened by back injuries, Bird still holds his place among the greatest in almost every offensive category and led the Celtics to three NBA championships. Presented is a Boston Celtics jersey, worn by "The Hick from French Lick" during the 1981-82 season. This famous jersey has a Medalist Sand-Knit size 46 label and Boston Celtics exclusivity label on the front right tail, with all numbers and letters attached with white tackle twill. Moderate use is evident, with fiber fraying at the edges of the numbers and letters, particularly on his iconic "33" on the front. LOA from Mile High Card Company.
