No advanced football card collection can be considered complete without a high-grade example of Walter Payton's rookie card. The man affectionately known as "Sweetness" came out of Jackson State University and immediately began setting records and accumulating awards after the Chicago Bears took him in the first round of the 1975 draft. The offered example of his debut pasteboard from the 1976 Topps release has been graded MINT 9 by PSA and exhibits many characteristics of a GEM MINT specimen, including untouched corners, factory-fresh gloss and a noticeable absence of stray print dots. An awesome example of the immortal Hall of Famer whose life ended much too soon.
