Following the sci-fi franchise's resurgence by means of a major motion picture, Topps followed suit by reprising a collector's trading card series that originated with the Leaf company in 1967. Though not as scarce as the Leaf series, the '76 Topps Star Trek cards are very popular with unopened packs and sealed boxes becoming tougher and tougher to find.
