Presented is the first and only example of Lew Alcindor's challenging 1971 Topps Trios Stickers issue to grade perfect GEM MINT 10 by PSA. One-of-one in its class from 128 submissions, this improbable GEM also ranks as one of just 18 examples from the entire set to realize the GEM 10 grade from a healthy population pool of 2,135 total copies on record. Perfectly centered with an incisive GEM MINT perimeter showing just a touch of rough-cutting along the right border, but let's not forget we're looking at a black-bordered 1971 Topps card here! The blank back is completely free of print and appears nearly immaculate save for a negligible spot of toning near the upper right corner. The obverse, on the other hand, shows a few grade-tolerated microdots of print, easily overshadowed by the perfectly registered and precisely centered images of Connie Hawkins, Jeff Mullins, and of course the 1971 scoring leader, MVP, and Finals MVP, Lew Alcindor, featured for the very last time on a Topps card under that name. A shimmering, black-bordered masterpiece in even the most advanced hoops collections in the hobby!
