Often overshadowed by their black-bordered successor when discussing condition sensitivity, the 1970 Topps baseball cards have an equally susceptible full-bleed colored border and can be extremely difficult to track down in high grade. The offered specimen features the indestructible Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, recently graded by PSA at the MINT 9 level. Nearly flawless in every conceivable aspect, a very light and nearly imperceptible touch to the lower right corner is most likely the culprit in preventing a GEM MINT assessment, but as of this writing, this is 1 of only 3 in the grade with none higher on record. A spectacular item befitting of even the most scrutinizing of collectors.
