Topps actually issued this card after Mantle had announced his retirement in what would be the last cardboard “hurrah” from "The Mick”! A longtime favorite of enthusiasts, some actually prefer the reverse of the card just as much or more than the front of the card for the fact that it lists Mantle’s career totals. Showing a slight but unobjectionable lean to the west side, the offered card displays exceptionally sharp NM/MT and NM/MT+ corners and a pleasingly fresh appearance.
