Highly sought-after by advanced collectors everywhere, the 1969 Topps Mickey Mantle white letter variation is considerably scarcer than its yellow letter counterpart, especially in high-grade. The offered example has recently been evaluated by PSA, emerging from the grading process with a NM/MT 8 designation. Corners on this one meet or exceed the MINT level and the central image clear and well-focused. The important white letters spelling out the Commerce Comet's last name are housed in a deep red name circle that shows little if any, stray print marks. A bit of minor scuffing on the left edge near the bottom most likely prevents a more elevated assessment, but as it stands, this is one of just 3 in the grade with only a single copy graded higher on the PSA pop report. An excellent find for the advanced Mantle collector or 1969 Master Set builder.
