On August 19th, 1969, the Chicago Cubs were 8 games ahead of the field in the National League East and in the driver's seat to win the division when Ken Holtzman fired a no-hitter against the Atlanta Braves. Oddly enough, Holtzman didn't strike out a single batter in the game, and it was the last hurrah before a downward slide and a black cat sealed the Cubs' fate, who went 15-25 the rest of the way and dropped the division to the Mets (really? the Mets?). This ticket stub is from Holtzman's no-hitter, PSA authenticated.
