The 1969-70 Topps basketball set is one of the most important collections to have come from the hardcourt, and not only because it contains the iconic Lew Alcindor rookie card. A groundbreaking collection that brought tall-boy cards to basketball after having made their appearance in past football and hockey sets, the set is packed with rookie cards considering its relatively small content of just 99 cards. Featured here is a near-complete set of 96 (missing #2, 25 Alcindor and 99 checklist). More than half of the collection is SGC or PSA graded as follows: PSA 8 - #33, 37, 54, and 94. PSA 8 (OC) - #23, 27 32, 42, 45, 51, 53, 59, 71, 79, and 88. PSA 7 - #10, 11, 22, 46, 58, 66 and 67. PSA 7 (OC) - #9, 13, and 36. PSA 6 - #16, 21, 28, 31, 34, 57, 70, 73, 85, and 97. PSA 5 - #48 and 52. PSA 4 - #68 SGC 8 - #69, 78 and 82. SGC 7- #17, 26, 29, 30, 38, 47, 74, 77, and 96. SGC 6 - #20 Havlicek, 44, and 84. SGC 5.5 - #35 Baylor and 43 Bradley. SGC 5 - #90 West.
