If you've been shopping for a MINT specimen of Johnny Bench's 1968 Topps rookie card, you've probably learned they don't come up for sale as often as you might like. Well, problem solved! Here's a wonderful example that carries the honor of a PSA 9 MINT, and while you can see it's close but not quite perfect under magnification, it's unlikely anyone would raise a fuss if PSA decided to pull the trigger on a GEM MINT assessment. Of particular note is the sharpness and color of the pair of portraits, with the centering and surface quality up to the task as well. Considered by many to be the finest catcher in the history of the game, Bench was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989 and named the starter behind the plate of the All-Century Team.
